Information about Sands End
Sands End lies in the southernmost part of the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham in London, England. Along the banks of the Thames lies Hurlingham Retail Park, which houses Currys and PC World. There is also a business enterprise centre in the Sulivan region. Across the other side of Townmead Road there is a large Sainsbury's, and currently there is the Imperial Wharf development, which will be a mixture of affordable housing, both private and public, shops, a park, and a new station, linking Clapham Junction with Willesden Junction via Kensington (Olympia). The station is tentatively called Imperial Wharf and was due to open September 2005, but has been delayed until 2006.
Also set in this vibrant part of Fulham is both Hurlingham Park and South Park. Wandsworth Bridge Road runs through the centre of Sands End and itself boasts some lovely restaurants, some upmarket pine shops, and St Matthew's Church (Sunday services at 10am and 6.30pm)
